Directions to our store in Damariscotta:

From Portland and points South
Take Route 95 North into Maine to Route 295 North (through Portland). Take the Route 1 North exit in Brunswick.  Follow Route 1 until the Damariscotta exit  (Business Route 1). Off exit bear to right.  Follow Business Route 1 over the bridge from Newcastle to Damariscotta.  Midcoast Kayak is located on the right, just over the bridge.


From Camden and points North
Take Route 1 South until the Damariscotta exit, Business Route 1 (this road enters town from both sides), and go straight into town. Midcoast Kayak is just before the bridge on the left. You can’t miss it. 47 Main Street.

Directions to our Muscongus Harbor launch site: from Damariscotta
Follow Main Street (Business Route 1 North) past our store to the traffic light near Hannaford’s. Turn right onto Biscay Road and go about 5 miles to the end. Turn right onto route 32 (the Waldoboro Road) and travel 2 miles to Muscongus Harbor road on left. You should see our DOT sign just before the turn. Follow that road into the harbor parking lot.  Please travel this road slowly- it is narrow.

Directions to Biscay Pond (for lessons):  from Damariscotta
Follow Main Street (Business Route 1 North) past our store to the traffic light near Hannaford’s. Turn right onto Biscay Road and go about 2.5 miles to a small sand beach on your right, this is Biscay Pond.
