and Open Water Classes. All of our classes are instructed by ACA certified instructors and classes model the ACA format. We will supply all the boats and gear you need for the class, but you are always welcome to practice with your own. Wetsuits are also available when requested.
Spend time at Biscay Pond learning how to sea kayak tour safely. This class will begin with kayaking safety and terminology, tides and currents, route planning, and paddle strokes. Emphasis will then be placed on self and assisted rescues, one of the most important skills for sea kayak touring.
For experienced paddlers who want to increase their skills on open water. We will concentrate on the leans, paddle strokes, and rescues necessary for safe open water crossings. Open Water Sea Kayaking Lessons are conducted on Muscongus Bay every Friday afternoon at 1:30.
