Midcoast Kayak is located at 47 Main Street in beautiful downtown Damariscotta, Maine. 
The “Kayak Shack” is the first welcoming sign you encounter in Damariscotta upon crossing the Newcastle bridge.  The Kayak Shack  may be small, but it packs in all of the essential gear you will need for a safe and enjoyable paddle.  Our rental fleet is waiting for you on the docks of Schooner Landing, a perfect launch to explore the Damariscotta River.  Our staff at Midcoast Kayak is friendly, knowledgeable, and prepared to help you launch present and future kayak journies.

Muscongus Bay, the primary site of our touring fleet, is a sea kayaker’s paradise. The bay offers everything from exploring calm coves to island hopping in the open water. We have a launching facility at Muscongus Harbor Road, a quiet out of the way boat harbor just two milesnorth of Round Pond off of Route 32.  This beautiful and unique location has been in the Webber Family for generations.  We have a small kayak shack located at this harbor for any of those little things you may have forgotten to pack - snacks, water, sunscreen, sunglasses, hats.   This is a working harbor so it is likely you will see lobstermen hoisting in their catch of the day or families setting out for a cruise on their sailboat.
